Synergy uses Titebond adhesive to glue new subfloor in the primary bedroom.

There’s one product in the 2021 Model ReModel that played a significant role throughout the entire home: the adhesive.

Remodelers and homeowners Mark and Mina Fies of Synergy Design & Construction opted for Titebond’s adhesive products to use in various applications during their whole-home remodel project.

It’s a brand the Fies have known for some time working with their clients and have found its benefits to be vast.

“Titebond is a great quality product and a reputable, recognized brand that’s been around a long time with a wide array of products for different applications,” says Mark. “They also have an easy-to-use website to identify what product would work best for each application.”

The company began as a woodworking glue manufacturer in 1935 and has expanded to include caulks, sealants, and other construction adhesives.

Titebond products were used on the 2021 Model ReModel for:

  • Gluing new subfloor to existing joists
  • Glue assist of wood base moulding and door casing throughout the home
  • Special trim projects in the kitchen
  • Custom stair framework on the bottom level
  • Throughout the bathrooms

Mark says one great benefit of Titebond is the extensive application-specific products, such as its Cold Press for Veneer adhesive, its vertical and overhead Titegrab adhesive, its three types of subfloor and drywall adhesives, landscape glues, concrete sealants, metal roof sealants, and much, much more.

Additionally, in a time where an increasing share of consumers is becoming aware of a home’s role in personal health, Titebond’s “green choice” products offer a healthier, easy on the Earth option. For several of the brand’s adhesives, such as Heavy Duty, Subfloor, Drywall, and Specialty, there are both a water-based green choice and VOC-compliant solvent options.

“We’re among few suppliers that have a robust line of water-based products that are solvent-free or have a low number of solvents,” says Mark Schroeder, vice president of marketing. “People want these products whether they’re working on their home or building a commercial structure.”

Mark says the best products are ones that are easy to order, use, clean, and are stable so they last a long time, which helps to avoid client callbacks—and Titebond does all four.
